These seal up nice and look great. I haven't had any bugs get into my cornmeal or anything else since I started using these. This size is perfect for the five pound bags of flour and sugar. When you wash them just remember to make sure all parts of the lid components are completely dry. I forgot to check once and the top layer of my sugar clumped from the little moisture that was left. It would be great if they had a spot to label on the top and sides but I found a sharpie and a piece of masking tape works fine. Also another improvement that would be nice would be if they had some sort of texture toward the bottom on the outside to help with gripping when picking up the container. These are not made to be picked up by the lid- the weight of the container will cause the seal to break. I experimented with this using water, so be sure to pick them up by the container.
