I was very skeptical and would never have bought a product like this without someone recoommending it personally. When mentioning that i needed to touch up my walls, my friend mentioned that I should first try the Magic Eraser to clean the scuff marks. I thought it was worth a try. As soon as I received the item, I tried it. It removed (with very little effort) all of the scuff marks on my stairs, risers, walls and baseboards. I had to rub slightly more in some areas but mostly it just wiped right off. I was amazed. This item saved me TONS of time that I would have spend touching up 4 different colors of paint, cleaning paintbrushes and having streak marks!! The only thing it didn't work perfectly on was removing soot stains (where candle smoke colored the paint) but it still did a good job of lightening it.
I would not use this item is for daily use in the kitchen or bathroom unless it was a tough job and regular cleaning products weren't working. The white part does disintegrate as you use it but I managed to clean all of my high traffic walls with one sponge. I may try it on tough spots in my tile shower next and maybe on outdoor stuff that's hard to clean, and will update my review if it works.
