Don't get me wrong - I love this steamer. It's been toted all over the place and works like a charm every time. Plus, it heats up SUPER fast (less than 30 seconds) and is so easy to use.
Now for the drawbacks. The steamer essentially just a hand-held pot of boiling water with holes punched in the top. As opposed to larger 'stand' steamers where the water supply is separate from the hose and head, you can very easily tip this one over and accidentally pour hot water all over your clothes (or yourself!). Just be very careful to always hold it upright. I've been sure to never fill it up all the way as a precaution....I only needed to do that once to learn it the hard way.
I like to wrap a tea towel or thin piece of fabric (men's undershirts do quite nicely) over the head of the steamer while I'm using it. As with any steamer, there is a good bit of condensation that occurs and in case you touch the fabric you're steaming you won't accidentally get large water spots all over.
