We've had this for about 6 months now and have used it quite a bit on the carpet and on the stairs. Not only does it clean well, it is easy to take care of and stow away. The thing is powerful and is great for apartments etc. We use this for our normal vacuuming instead of using the big vacuum we have. It is not that heavy and a little exercise doesn't hurt.
