I am using this to store our Peugeot tandem in the garage. The device is quite well designed and manufactured and is priced right. After seeing other reviews, I was expecting to have to replace the rope and screws. Not a thing wrong with either in the device I received. Using it for a tandem, which is much heavier than most single bikes, is an 'off-label' application, but it is up to the task. I plan to buy two more of these for our regular bikes.
