I say so far because I have a wet basement and our humidifier runs constantly all spring and summer. We tend to kill humidifiers and this one was purchased as a replacement for a Goldstar that died after three years.
I have been running this one now for only a few days but I can tell you that it is far quieter and removes far more water than our previous humidifiers. I have it running on high and have to open the cellar door to know if it is running. The other one we could hear upstairs with the door shut. It is also designed very nicely with a super easy hose hookup and a built in handle on the top if you need to carry it somewhere.
