It seems so simple. You want a vacuum cleaner that beats the rug fibers to loosen the dirt and then the motor creates suction to remove it. I didn't realize how far short the average vacuum cleaner fell until I tried the Hoover. I used to dread this chore until I got my hands on this machine. What a delightful change to have this machine to do all the work! The amount of stuff this thing pulls out of the rug is uncanny! The canister is easy to empty and the filter is easy to clean. The cord is plenty long enough, although if I had my druthers, it would be a little longer. The cord self-rewinds without jamming and it's solidly built to handle the task. The hand attachments are nicely placed, nicely designed, and nicely made. Again, the hose is long enough although I'd prefer it a little longer. You won't go wrong if you plunk your hard-earned down on this baby. Well built and dependable. It should last a long time. Good set of instructions, too. I got mine for $113.00. Later I saw it for $104.00. Free shipping if you want to wait five to nine days. (I did.) I've seen other brands with fewer features for half again that amount. Buy it. You won't be sorry.
