I have been using these as a replacement for a GE Smartwater Filter in a GE Profile refrigerator (originally used a Culligan filter). The rate of flow is fine and taste is fine. However, after just 3 months, flow slows to a trickle and I am forced to replace it, so I've been getting only 3.5 months use out of these Brita filters. So, while I like these filters as they are significantly cheaper upfront compared to the GE filters, I believe that they are actually costing me more, b/c the G/E filters last me 6-9 months easily.
