We have run through many vacuums in our house with 4 kids, 2 dogs, and 3 cats. It doesn't matter how much we spend, the end result is usually the same - the vacuum clogs and jams within the first few uses. And ever after getting it unclogged, it's never the same. I just cannot justify spending the money on a Dyson. So in comes the Shark Navigator. Took it out of the box and had it put together in under 5 minutes. First impressions: very lightweight, extra long cord, small "head" (for lack of a better term, the part that does the vacuuming). We vacuumed first with our old vacuum (a top of the line Kenmore) then we put the Shark to work. After vacuuming our living room and hallway - we filled up the cup! It was amazing how much hair came up. Love how easy it is to maneuver, the small head is perfect for vacuuming around furniture. I am a little disappointed with the size of the cup. I have to empty it after every room. But, it has not clogged once. And it has great suction power. Makes kind of a funny noise - scares the dog.
