Got Raoul (yes, I named it) for Christmas 2008. My husband paid over $500.00 direct from irobot. He performed beautifully, carpets never looked better with two cats in the house. Had to replace the brush module after about six months and irobot send a new one immediately. No complaints (except, yeah, cleaning brushes is a pain).
Now after only 15 months of owning Roomba, he has a bumper problem. Spins in circles then shuts off and emits 9 beeps. We took the bumper off and cleaned the area really well. Still won't work. Called irobot only to be told that the machine is out of warranty and can't be fixed. I guess we throw him away. I don't think I will buy another irobot product.
