I bought it based off of others' reviews, hearing that this vacuum will clean so much better. When I'm paying 2-3 times more than I usually pay for a vacuum cleaner, I expect it to perform, but this is really no better than any other that I have owned. The suction on the hand wand is pretty good, but the brushing power is average at best. I've read that they lowered the amps in the newer models. People I know that have the older models swear by theirs, so maybe this is the reason.
